Digital Estate Planning
When you are gone, someone still has to deal with your email, subscriptions, stores, wallets, and cloud accounts. Afterstate records what should happen, then starts the right requests with each platform after verification.
Problem
Families often know what exists, but not what to do next. Each service has its own process, documents, and contact route.
Every platform works differently
Google, Shopify, Meta, banks, exchanges, and cloud tools each expect different requests.
Subscriptions keep charging
Paid services can keep billing until someone submits the proper closure request.
Access requests stall
Families often need a death certificate, platform-specific details, and the right wording to move forward.
No one knows the intended outcome
Should an account be closed, transferred, memorialized, or left active? That choice is rarely documented.
How It Works
Pick the services you use: email, social, crypto, cloud, subscriptions, commerce, and more.
For each platform, decide whether Afterstate should request closure, transfer, memorialization, review, or notification.
Name the person who should be informed and the trusted contact who can support verification if needed.
After verification, Afterstate sends the prepared outreach and required details to the relevant platform process.
A member adds Instagram, chooses delete account, names a trusted contact, and keeps the plan alive with check-ins. If the check-in fails and verification is completed, the contact receives the right request package.
The member saves the handle, profile link, login email, and any notes a contact may need.
@username“What should happen” is set to delete account, so the request package is built around closure.
Delete accountA trusted person is assigned so they know they are responsible for starting the process.
Trusted contactThe member taps I’m alive on schedule. Missed check-ins trigger reminders before anyone else is contacted.
Every 6 monthsThe trusted contact confirms, uploads the death certificate, and completes the activation steps.
Document reviewAfterstate prepares the Instagram deletion letter with the account details and document checklist.
Ready to sendFeatures
Bring Gmail, Instagram, PayPal, Google Photos, and crypto wallets into one clear plan.
Leave a note for your family. It is only opened when the plan is activated.
Activation waits for the required proof, contact confirmation, and follow-up checks before any request is sent.
See which requests are ready, submitted, waiting on documents, or still need manual review.
Security
Afterstate does not need your account passwords to work. It stores platform choices, intended outcomes, contacts, and the information needed to begin the right request after verification.
No Credential Storage
Afterstate does not ask for or keep platform passwords as part of the core workflow.
Verification Before Action
Requests only move forward after the required proof and confirmation steps are completed.
Platform-Specific Outreach
Each service can require a different route, form, or support contact. The workflow is prepared accordingly.
Status Visibility
You and your contacts can see which requests are prepared, submitted, pending documents, or completed.
Human Review When Needed
If a platform needs extra paperwork or manual follow-up, the request stays visible instead of disappearing into support email.
Pricing
Reserve lifetime access before launch.

Trusted Network
These people will be notified if your check-in lapses. They can also initiate the verification process when the time comes. They receive a portal link — they won't see your plan until activation.
Add a trusted contact
When the time comes
Your trusted contacts will complete these four steps to activate your plan. Everything is prepared — they just need to upload documents and confirm.
Trusted contact logs in
Confirms they are initiating the process on your behalf.
Death certificate uploaded
Required by most platforms. Scanned copy via portal.
Contact identity verified
Government-issued ID confirms who they are.
Request letters released
All platform letters activate with verified docs attached.
I'm Alive
Set how often you want to check in. If you miss a check-in, we first send you a reminder. If there's still no response, your trusted contacts are asked to confirm your status. Only then does verification begin.

How it works: You miss check-in → we email you. No response in 7 days → we email your trusted contacts asking if you're okay. No response in another 7 days → verification flow begins automatically.
